After appealing to the Western United States Pipe Band Association’s Music Board and demonstrating proficiency in front of 2 judging panels over two different competition venues, Queen City Pipe Band succeeded in proving to the WUSPBA Music Board’s committee that they did indeed belong in the Grade 3 competition category.

This puts them in a bit of a tough spot since they are the state’s only Grade 3 band.  Unless bands visit our local games, QCPB will spend the season traveling to out-of-state games in order to find other Grade 3 bands to compete against.

“We’re up for it” says James Cuthill, Pipe Major of the new organization.

I do believe they are.
